Hosted by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ube.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the University of Burgundy Europe<\/a>, a long-standing partner of CESI, the event brought together nearly 200 members of the research community, including professors, doctoral students, research engineers, and support staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Designed as an opportunity for sharing, structuring, and planning, this seminar embodies the meeting point between the unit&#8217;s scientific policy and its regional roots. It aims to stimulate interdisciplinary dialogue and jointly develop the future directions of CESI&#8217;s research and innovation, at the heart of a particularly dynamic academic and technological ecosystem.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"RDV\" class=\"wp-block-group section is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group wrapper__inner is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading title--2 is-style-title-cesi-underline\"><span><strong><br><br>Focus on academic excellence and European<br>impact<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group editorial__picture editorial__aside is-style-editorial-aside-big editorial__aside--picture is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/dijon.cesi.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2025\/02\/JM-Ogier-portrait-2048x2048-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7883\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Jean-Marc OGIER, Director General of CESI Engineering School<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>At the opening of the event, <strong>Jean-Marc Ogier, Director General of CESI Engineering School<\/strong>, reiterated a clear ambition : <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>&#8220;[&#8230;] to position CESI LINEACT at the highest level of French and international academic standards<\/em>.&#8221;<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This trajectory involves increasing the number of HDRs (Habilitation \u00e0 Diriger des Recherches, or accreditation to supervise research) and strengthening scientific output, in a context of increased requirements driven by Hc\u00e9res.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Director General also emphasized the need to <em><strong>&#8220;think about higher education and research on a European scale&#8221; <\/strong><\/em>through the integration of an alliance, the acceleration of campus internationalization, and the continued globalization of the organization, in alignment with regional priorities.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group section is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group wrapper__inner is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group editorial__quote is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\"><span class=\"icon icon_quotes\"><\/span>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote title--2 is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>The seminar also highlighted major challenges for the future of research at CESI, in particular the democratization of access to science and the importance of widely disseminating research results, in a context where research can sometimes be called into question. Researchers work collectively, thematically, and across disciplines.
