His work focuses on operations research, optimization, decision support and complex systems, with the aim of developing methods that help businesses address the challenges of Industry 4.0 and 5.0.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"topics\" class=\"wp-block-group section is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group wrapper__inner is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading title--2 is-style-title-cesi-underline\"><span><strong>How did your interest in research begin, and how have your research topics evolved over time ?<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>My interest in research stemmed quite naturally from a fascination with complex problems, those that require both rigor and curiosity, as well as the ability to connect theory with real-world applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over time, my work has focused on optimization, decision support and complex systems, with a growing interest in the challenges and opportunities associated with the industry of the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What motivates me today is the opportunity to transform complex issues into practical and useful solutions for organizations.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"help\" class=\"wp-block-group section has-grey-background-color has-background is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group wrapper__inner is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading title--2 is-style-title-cesi-underline\"><span><strong>In concrete terms, how can your research help businesses ?<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>My research aims to help organizations make better decisions in complex environments: improving planning, optimizing the use of resources, increasing performance, while also enhancing flexibility and resilience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The idea is simple: turning industrial complexity into smarter and more effective decision-making.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through my work, I develop tools and methods designed to support companies facing the challenges of Industry 4.0 and 5.0, where systems are becoming increasingly interconnected and dynamic.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"world\" class=\"wp-block-group section is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group wrapper__inner is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading title--2 is-style-title-cesi-underline\"><span>Is there a project that particularly illustrates the impact of research on the industrial world ?<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Yes, absolutely. What I find most rewarding about research is when it leads to tools or methods that can be directly applied in the field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One example is <strong>DYNALOG<\/strong>, a project selected under the France 2030 programme, in which the <strong>CESI LINEACT<\/strong> research unit is a partner. The project aims to optimize the management of fleets of more than one hundred autonomous robots operating in logistics warehouses. It relies on dynamic planning, replanning and a digital twin of the system to improve overall operational performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a very concrete example of how research can contribute to improving the efficiency of large-scale industrial systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Madani&#8217;s message to students, doctoral candidates and young researchers:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group editorial__quote is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\"><span class=\"icon icon_quotes\"><\/span>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote title--2 is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>I would encourage them not to look for &#8216;perfect&#8217; career paths, but rather for questions that genuinely inspire them. Research requires patience, rigor and sometimes perseverance, but it also offers true intellectual freedom.
