When visiting a heritage site for the first time, the
visitor can be overtaken by the amount of available contents, such
as paintings, artworks, etc. Some heritage sites possess very large
collections with various items. Historic sites possess very large
collections and their main purpose is to make these available
and attractive to the public. Nevertheless, visitors cannot access
all objects and collections present in the site, as they will be
lacking time to visit everything, or according to their profile
and preferences. This is why, it’s important to customize visits
through targeted recommendations. This paper addresses the
recommendation of items through a critical analysis of works
and projects that have dealt with this type of problems. Then
an hybrid architecture is proposed which takes into account the
context aspect
