Human-Humanoid collaboration in manufacturing opportunities and challenges in the context of industry 5.0

Conférence : Communications avec actes dans un congrès international

The introduction of humanoid robots in industry represents an important aspect of the industry 5.0 enhance resilience of productin and represents a real change in the manner of dealing with the technology assistance for human operators, where the smart system will be able to execute similar tasks as the humans.
This paper presents a concise review of human-humanoid collaboration in manufacturing within the context of Industry 5.0. Unlike traditional human-robot interaction, the humanoid form introduces new dynamics, both physical and cognitive, in shared workspaces. The study identifies specific opportunities such as improved social engagement and cognitive cooperation and highlights emerging challenges, including emotional recognition, shared decision-making, and social acceptance. A comparative analysis distinguishes humanoid collaboration from conventional robotic systems, emphasizing its potential for closer human integration. Key enabling technologies such us artificial intelligence, digital twins, smart contracts, and large language models are mapped to these collaboration levels. This study contributes to understanding how humanoids reshape human-machine interaction in future manufacturing environments.
