Securing Digital Twin System Using Blockchain: Application on Smart Home

Conférence : Communications avec actes dans un congrès international

Digital twins (DTs) offer a virtual representation of physical entities, enabling advanced monitoring, control, and predictive analysis, particularly in Internet of Things (IoT) environments. However, the integration of DTs in smart homes raises significant security and privacy concerns due to the volume of sensitive data generated and exchanged. This paper proposes a secure architecture for smart home DTs using blockchain technology and homomorphic encryption (HE). Blockchain ensures data integrity and access control through its decentralized and immutable nature, while HE enables computations on encrypted data without decryption, preserving confidentiality. This approach enhances the security and privacy of smart home DTs, contributing to safer and more resilient smart environments.
