Supply Chain Optimization with the Digital Twin: Case study of a warehouse

In a complex logistics landscape, the need for efficient and optimized Supply Chain’s (SC’s) is becoming increasingly important. This is crucial to creating an efficient SC and ensuring consistent, optimized use of resources. Efficient logistics management is essential if companies are to maintain their competitiveness in the marketplace. Digital technologies, such as digital warehouses, are key to transforming traditional operations into agile, responsive and optimized processes, improving productivity and customer satisfaction. This article presents new research into the development of a digital warehouse model for warehouse services, exploring its contribution to international SC optimization. This research aims to provide concrete solutions for improving the control and management of SC’s by taking advantage of the technological advances of the digital age. The paper also examines the application of the proposed methodology to model and optimize conventional (manual) warehouses.
