Powder Bed Fusion Modular factory for safe on-site production

CESI, a top leading institution in the higher education sector in France has developed a patented metal AM plant based on the use of recycled standard containers. Representing an area of around 130 square meters, this high safety performance unit incorporates all manufacturing steps from powder storage to thermal treatment, including a mid-size industrial capacity powder bed fusion equipment. This modular solution which can easily be dismantled and transported can also be expanded via additional containers for extra printers. In line with the best HSE standards, especially for dealing with metal powder risk, this AM plant is particularly competitive for production as close as possible to need, within an existing plant or on isolated sites.
