Preliminary Analysis of How Trust Influences Information Sharing in Collaborative Decision Making

Conférence : Communications avec actes dans un congrès international

This study examines how trust and collaboration duration influence information sharing in collaborative decision-making. Data from over 60 engineering students were analysed using validated scales. The results show a strong positive relationship between trust and information sharing (Pearson’s r(61) = 0.75, p < 0.001). Information sharing rises with collaboration duration, although gender moderates this effect: women’s trust and sharing improve over time, while men’s decline slightly. The results highlight the essential role of trust in promoting communication and collaboration, with implications for enhancing teamwork in the construction industry.
